About Mercy Clinic
He saw the crowds, He had compassion on them because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 9:36
Mercy Clinic is a nonprofit organization founded in 2011 to serve the healthcare needs of south Fort Worth's underserved community. The clinic was established by Dr. Rebekah Naylor, a graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine who had spent over 35 years serving at Bangalore Baptist Hospital in India as a surgeon, Chief of Medical Staff, and Medical Superintendent.

When Dr. Naylor returned to North Texas in 2009, she was confronted by the healthcare needs of neighbors in her own backyard. Partnering with Travis Avenue Baptist Church, she drew upon her experience founding multiple international medical programs to guide a group of dedicated volunteers in establishing Mercy Clinic Fort Worth.
Today, our team of more than 140 volunteers— doctors, dentists, pharmacists, translators, and office staff — work together to remove the typical barriers to care, including cost, time constraints, and language. We provide wellness checkups, well-woman visits, sick visits, dental extractions and fillings, and limited laboratory and prescription services.

The clinic operates Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Wednesday afternoons, ensuring care is accessible to those who work traditional hours. Additionally, Mercy Clinic hosts annual events such as Shot for Mercy, Dinner for Mercy, and Mercy in the Community to share health resources with Fort Worth and help fund the clinic. What began as one woman's response to community need has grown into a ministry that embodies Christ's love through comprehensive, dignified healthcare for the uninsured.
